NEW PRESIDENT ELECTED

Kenya has a new president after William Ruto was recently sworn in. As a young boy, Ruto (55) used to sell chickens to make money for his family and only managed to buy his first pair of shoes at the age of 15. Now he plans to improve the farming sector to ensure food security in the country.

“Agriculture is the most important sector that we have in Kenya. There is absolutely no reason why we cannot produce enough food.

There is no reason why four million Kenyans are starving,” he says.
