FIND THE RIGHT TOOLS
Just like an artist needs the best brushes to create a masterpiece, high-quality brushes and palettes are what you need to elevate your eyeshadow game. It’s worth investing in eyeshadow brushes that will last.
Short-hair synthetic brush: For applying colour to the lids as it picks up the maximum product. Fluffy domed brush: For blending. Rounded brush with dense bristles: To line under the eyes for a defined look.
When it comes to choosing an eye palette, it’s best to stick to the basics. The most hardworking ones are nudes (with brown, taupe, beige and champagne shades) or smoky (like black, nuances of grey and a shimmery highlighter) palettes.
It’s also a good idea to look out for ones that bring out your eyes – something with purples if you have green eyes; teals or warm greys for brown; or coppers and golds for blue eyes.
