BUZZ STOPS FOR INSECTS

-

The rooftops of some bus stops in the UK have been planted with flower gardens to help insects such as bees and butterflies. The gardens help support the insects, which are struggling in bustling cities such as London. Without bees and other insects bringing pollen from one flower to another, many plants wouldn’t be able to produce seeds or grow fruits or vegetables.

Bee bus stops first popped up in the Dutch city of Utrecht in 2019, and now several cities across Europe are interested in setting up these living roofs to help the little pollinators.
