HABITAT AND DISTRIBUTION

It’s indigenous to SA and occurs in the fynbos region between the Cederberg in the Western Cape and Makhanda (Grahamstown) in the Eastern Cape. It flourishes in harsh conditions with hot, dry summers and wet, cold winters. It’s often part of mountain vegetation.
