BLOCKBUSTER NETFLIX FROM 3 NOVEMBER
In early 2000, Netflix founders Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph offered to sell their company to the US video rental company Blockbuster for $50 million. Blockbuster famously turned them down, and, well, the rest is history. Movie rental shops are a distant memory.
In the new comedy series, Blockbuster, Timmy Yoon (Randall Park) is a movie lover, devoted to his job managing his hometown's Blockbuster Video.
Then Timmy is alarmed to learn that his store is officially the last Blockbuster in America. He now has no choice but to take action to stay open and keep his friends employed.
