The veteran US actress is back as Queen Ramonda, T’Challa and Shuri’s mother. Having lost her husband and son, Ramonda is the one who has to sit on the throne. “It was daunting,” Angela says.

The Oscar-nominated actress tells of how the cast visited Chadwick’s resting place in South Carolina

before they started filming the sequel in Atlanta.

“We were able to do that to give love and feel his spirit and stand there with him before we did one frame of anything,” Angela says. “That was such an important grounding for us because emotion was all over the place.

“People were on the verge – his [on-screen] sister, his love, his general, all of us. I’m getting goosebumps now. We were on the verge of tears, of how are we going to do this, go on without him?”
