BLUE IVY CARTER (10) gave bidders at the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles a run for their money when she bid $80 000 (R1,4 million) on a pair of diamond earrings.

Attendees were stunned when the eldest daughter of singer BEYONCÉ (41) and rapper JAY-Z (52) outbid the likes of Tyler Perry for the Lorraine Schwartz earrings, which had previously belonged to her mother. Ultimately the tween was outbid and the earrings were sold for $105 000 (R2,7m).
