Know your skin
If you have oilier skin, you’re probably better off using a powder blush as opposed to a cream blush or lipstick as blush. But if you have super-oily skin, a powder blush can turn a bit dark and go a little “muddy”, Ashton says. For oily skin, it’s a good idea to use a brighter blush than you’d normally use for your skin tone, because it will dull down once it mixes with the natural oil of your skin.
