DAISY DARKER

- – ANDRÉ J BRINK

BY ALICE FEENEY MACMILLAN Beatrice “Nana” Darker is a famous author of children’s books who lives in Seaglass, an old house built on a small tidal island just off the Cornish coast.

Years ago, a palm reader told her she wouldn’t live beyond the age of 80.

So when this landmark birthday rolls around she invites her family to celebrate with her. The date also just happens to fall on Halloween and it’s the first time in more than a decade that they’ll all be in the same place at the same time.

Before long the palm reader’s prediction comes true – Nana is found dead in a pool of blood in the kitchen. Disturbingly, a poem written in chalk on the walls predicts they’ll all die on Halloween Eve.

It’s high tide and it will take eight hours before they can get off the island where someone, or something, is now killing them off one by one because of a dastardly deed committed years ago.

This is a dark, chilling tale of love, revenge and jealousy.

If you believe in ghosts and love something spooky, you’ll find Daisy Darker absolutely spellbinding.
