ACTIVIST GOES TO COURT OVER PRISON FOOD
A vegan animal rights activist (see Word of the Week) is suing the Swiss government at the European Court of Human Rights because officials apparently didn’t provide him with enough nutritious vegan food when he was in prison.
The man was arrested because he broke into butchery and restaurants and damaged them.
He says he had to survive by eating only salad, rice and rolls – and that he experienced health problems as a result.
The man reportedly refused to take vitamin supplements.
