The star SPARKED CONCERN after posting a VIDEO showing her looking GAUNT

-

WHEN JESSICA SIMPSON posted a video of her showing off her three-yearold daughter Birdie’s new bedroom on Instagram, she caught fans’ attention for all the wrong reasons.

In the Pottery Barn promotional video, the 42-year-old is wearing a long, summery dress which shows off her slim figure. Fans immediately noted that she was looking increasingly gaunt in her videos and commented that her speech seemed slurred.

“OMG. She doesn’t look well. Her eyes are so sunken. Something isn’t right,” one follower posted, while others asked if she was okay and noted that she looked frail and was behaving strangely. Jessica, who’s been open about her struggles with her weight and substance abuse, hit back with a post of her singing one of her songs, saying she hasn’t had alcohol in five years and that she’s feeling stable and strong.

“As much as I’ve learned to block out destructive noise . . . peoples’ comments and judgements can still hurt deeply,” she wrote in a lengthy Instagram post.

In her 2020 memoir Open Book, Jessica wrote about her struggles with alcohol

The star stopped drinking in November 2017 after she blacked out following a Halloween drinking binge and couldn’t remember dressing her kids in their costumes.

She married former NFL player Eric Johnson (43) in 2014 and the couple have three children: daughters Birdie and Maxwell (10) and son Ace (9). “I was killing myself with all the drinking and pills,” she writes.

Earlier this year, the Texan opened up about how she lost 45kg. “I believe in setting small goals for yourself” she told ETonline. “So, the small goals for me are what helped me achieve the main goal.”
