NO FUN FOR WOMEN UNDER TALIBAN RULE
The Taliban, a religious and political group known for carrying out strict Islamic law, have banned Afghan women from parks and funfairs in the Middle Eastern country. The group, which has waged war in Afghanistan for nearly 30 years, took control of the country by force last year. Since then women have been deprived of certain rights – for example, they are banned from travelling without a male escort and must wear a hijab, or headscarf, whenever they are out in public.
