Mini car­rots Mini corn Sugar snap peas Moz­zarella cheese, cut into cubes Pop­corn (only for older chil­dren) Baby toma­toes 1 Choose any snacks that your child adores, but keep it on the healthy side by us­ing fruit and veg­eta­bles cut into bite-size pieces (you can also use a small cookie cut­ter to make it fun). 2 Use a pot­tery egg holder or line an egg car­ton with mini muf­fin pa­per cups and fill with an as­sort­ment of snacks.

Fin­ger food is a great way to keep tod­dlers busy – they love feed­ing them­selves. And it helps with hand­eye co­or­di­na­tion and to de­velop fine mo­tor skills!
