Al­mond oat por­ridge

2 ta­ble­spoons rolled oats 2 ta­ble­spoons boil­ing wa­ter 1 ta­ble­spoon al­mond but­ter 1 ba­nana, peeled and fork mashed

Method: 1. Stir the oats and boil­ing wa­ter to­gether in a small bowl and let sit un­til cooled and thick­ened. 2. Stir in the al­mond but­ter and ba­nana and serve. You can thin this por­ridge with a lit­tle al­mond milk if nec­es­sary. Nuts are packed with pro­tein, good fats, B vi­ta­mins and min­er­als such as iron, potas­sium, cal­cium, zinc and mag­ne­sium. It is safe to give nut but­ters to chil­dren un­der a year, but please be care­ful if there’s a his­tory of nut al­ler­gies in your fam­ily.
