THE PROSPECT OF AN al fresco meal on the lawn or in the park will get your little one excited! Fortunately it is perfectly possible to plan a healthy outing, which still gives you a break from stovetop slavery.
Pack a combination of sweet and savoury things, and refreshing drinks. Remember that the focus is more on the fun activities than on the food, so don’t expect your children to sit for long and eat. Allow them to play and run and see your picnic blanket as the pit stop for refuelling.
If you keep track of what they munch on in between playing, you’ll see that all together it will comprise a good meal. YB
