Formula-fed babies have stools that are brown and pasty – much different to that of babies who are exclusively breastfed. Formulafed babies usually pass stools more regularly than breastfed babies, but don’t be alarmed if your baby goes a few days without making a poo – as we said before, if it’s still smooth and soft in consistency it’s not constipation.
