Your Baby & Toddler - - Newborn -

Blood in the stools can be the result of constipation. It is caused by anal fissures (cuts) that occur when your baby is straining to push a hard stool out. There may also be mucus present. If there’s more than just a few drops of blood, or if the stools don’t soften or the bleeding doesn’t stop, call your doctor.
