WHEN TO APPLY SUNSCREEN

-

Apply sunscreen about 30 minutes before going outside so that a good layer of protection can form. Don’t forget about lips, hands, ears, feet, shoulders and behind the neck. Lift up costume straps and apply sunscreen underneath them.

Reapply sunscreen every two to three hours. Water reflects and intensifies the sun’s rays, so children need protection that lasts when swimming. In this case, a waterproof variety is best, but you should still reapply it.

Even children with dark skin need protection. Although dark skin has more melanin and tans more easily than it burns, tanning is also a sign of sun damage.
