SPIDER-MAN MASK & WEB
3 slices brown bread 2 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon Marmite 1 slice mozzarella cheese 1 tablespoon beetroot spread 1 clove garlic, crushed 2 apple slices For the beetroot spread: 1 tin white beans 4 cooked baby beetroot (or use preserved beets)
1. Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on 2 slices of bread and sandwich together with slice of cheese in the centre. Cut into a rough circle and then use small circle cookie cutter to scallop all around the edges. This will form the basis of the spider web.
2. For the Spider-man mask, first make the beetroot spread by blitzing the beans, beetroot and garlic together in a blender. Use a little olive oil to loosen the mixture if needed.
3. Cover last slice of bread in beetroot spread, then cut into an oval shape.
4. Mix together 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of Marmite and place in a small sandwich bag. Cut a small hole in one corner and use the bag to pipe the spider web onto both sandwiches. Use 2 apple slices for Spider-man’s eyes.
