Children living with albinism often have low vision. They are particularly susceptible to skin cancer, especially in sunexposed countries such as ours and have to always wear dark glasses, wide- rimmed hats, very high factor sunscreen (even on the lips) and longsleeved clothing. With poor care, people with albinism can and do die unnecessarily early of preventable diseases.
