1 swiss roll
3½ mini swiss rolls 1 cup chocolate icing 2 Oreo biscuits pretzel or chocolate wafer sticks
1 tub mini Oreo biscuits mini marshmallows mini liquorice allsorts
1 Cover the swiss roll and mini swiss rolls in chocolate icing. Place the ½ mini swiss roll upright on the big swiss roll to form the locomotive’s chimney. Place an Oreo biscuit on the front of the locomotive and another on top of the chimney.
2 Use pretzel or chocolate wafer sticks to make train tracks, and place mini swiss roll carriages on the tracks. Use mini Oreo biscuits as wheels on both the locomotive and carriages. Use mini marshmallows and mini liquorice allsorts as “cargo”.
½ block unsalted butter, softened 2 cups icing sugar 1 tablespoon milk a few drops of food colouring (if needed)
Using an electric beater, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Whisk in the milk and food colouring (if using), and mix well to combine.
Chocolate icing variation 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 2 tablespoons boiling water
Mix the cocoa powder and boiling water together to form a paste. Allow to cool, then add to butter icing to make chocolate icing.
