CARRYING YOUR BABY
✗ Don’t hike your hip up as you carry your baby on one side.
✓ Watch the shoulder of the arm supporting the baby to make sure that it is not lifting up to your ear, or pulling forward.
✓ Stand with your weight distributed equally on both legs, and use your stomach and arms to support your baby.
✓ Alternate the sides on which you carry your baby. You should shift the baby from left to right, and also to the front, with each opportunity. That way you can prevent any muscle-strength imbalances, and any wear and tear on your joints is distributed evenly.
