I’M HUNGRY

Contrary to what you may believe, crying is actually the last stage of hunger signals. Learn the earlier signs of hunger so that your baby doesn’t become too fractious:

FEED ME NOW: Increased physical movement, moving the hands towards the mouth and/or sucking on her fingers.

EARLY HUNGER: Mouth opening and/or turning with rooting movements towards your breast or chest.

LATE SIGNS: Crying, even turning red in the face.
