“When I was 31 years old, going to church was new for me. My first Christmas came along when the service really meant something to me and I couldn’t wait to go! My only problem? Convincing a four-yearold to come along. So, for weeks I reminded him how the day would unfold. He was happy to go to church, but he insisted we came to a compromise – that he could open two presents before we went and the rest when we came home. We both agreed, and there he was on the chair next to me, grinning from ear to ear, holding onto his precious toys in church.”
