Your Pregnancy - - Letters -

I find that people tend to overlook the simple blessings in their lives, while they put all their energy into attaining some distant goal. It’s good to dream big and be ambitious in life, but uncontrolled ambition turns to obsession over goals. We were all born with certain abilities and talents, but if we constantly seek what we don’t have, we fail to recognise what we do have. I was out in the garden with my daughter the other day, and was overwhelmed by the beauty of nature. Sometimes we move so fast that we don’t see this incredible beauty around us, and don’t allow mother nature to give us her message. We need to slow down and pay attention. Summer is here, and even without a calendar, Mother Nature gives us clues that it’s time to soak in all the freshness that’s out there. I wish you all a colourful season and remember to bloom where you’re planted! PHINDILE MOTILENI, SOKHULUMI
