HAPPY PUPPY CHEST STRETCH

This pose stretches the lower and upper back and opens the chest. The position of your head lower than your heart is also a great way to quieten your mind and focus on your breath and relax.

• Starting in your box shape with your knees under your hips, slowly start to walk your hands forward so that your chest can come down toward the mat.

• If your chest reaches the mat, lower your forehead down and extend your arms in front of you.

• To intensify this pose: bend your elbows, and let your hands meet behind your head.

• Hold the pose for at least 5 breaths. If your chest and forehead don’t make it all the way down, make a pillow with your hands on which to rest your head.
