TOSS THE SALT
Although our bodies do need salt to stay healthy, we typically tend to overdo things with the salt shaker here in Mzansi, consuming up to two teaspoons a day, when we only really need a ¼ teaspoon. That tiny quarter includes the salt naturally found in food. Too much salt can lead to high blood pressure. Don’t keep a salt shaker on the table, and don’t let your children get into the habit of adding salt either.
