A FEW GOLDEN RULES
■ The games should be age appropriate.
■ Games should be fun. Stop if your baby no longer enjoys them.
■ Your baby has a very short attention span that depends on age, circumstances and temperament. Keep the games short.
■ Repetition is very important. You’ll have to play some games a few times before your baby will really participate.
■ An unhappy or overstimulated baby is not receptive to learning. Choose times when Baby is relaxed and awake.
■ Get to know your baby’s body language, so you can see when she’s overstimulated, tired or bored. React immediately.
■ Give your baby undivided attention. Also switch off background noise such as the television.
