Month 5: Wondering about weight?
Don’t confuse hunger and thirst. Hydrate while you gestate! Registered dietitian Lila Bruk says “it is essential to increase your fluid intake when you’re pregnant to allow for your increased blood volume during this time. Aim for at least 10 glasses per day to meet your fluid needs. Water, herbal tea and vegetable soups count, but anything with caffeine doesn’t.” Staying hydrated in combination with adequate fibre intake is also your best defence against constipation.
