Savvy solution
FOGGED-UP LENSES
Everyone’s new pet annoyance. They’re also a safety hazard. When you can’t see properly, you might trip and fall, or cause an accident while driving. Or you could end up buying very expensive salmon at the supermarket because you couldn’t really see the price. (True story.) It also makes you feel disoriented or claustrophobic when your glasses fog up, says Ruahan Naude, CEO of Dynamic Vision. The solution? Ruahan says you can try several things. Washing glasses with soapy water and drying them with a microfibre cloth will only take you so far. Speak to your optometrist about Seiko’s FogLessCoat lens. This type of lens distributes moisture evenly by reducing the surface tension on both sides of the lens. Condensation evaporates faster, allowing the lenses to remain transparent. To ensure that lenses maintain their anti-fog abilities for longer, they must be treated about once a week with FogLess Clean + Protect fluid. Applying it once a week enhances the anti-fog effect, prolongs its durability and makes cleaning the lens easier.
