My baby is 24 months old. I enjoyed him most when he was 9 months old, because he only ate and slept. He was a quiet champ. You wouldn’t know that he is in the house. Now, we run around in the house. When it is quiet, I know he is doing something wrong. Love him very much. Bongisiwe Cynthia Duma (31), Klerksdorp, North West

I have a little boy who is turning 3. Looking back, I think my favourite stage was definitely when he was a newborn. I could then cuddle and hold him, and he’d stay in my arms! I feel like now we are in the extended version of “terrible twos”, tantrums – and the whining never ends. Patricia Bhengu (29), Kroonstad, Free State

My firstborn is 2 years and 5 months old, and my son is 6 months old. I must say that I loved them during pregnancy and when they were a few days old. These beautiful souls are exhausting now. However, to see them discover new things every day is amazing. Funeka Lemoen (32) Bloemfontein, Free State

My bunza is 3 now. I have enjoyed everything with him since birth. After two miscarriages, I promised myself that I will be grateful no matter the sleepless nights, crying and tantrums. I just grin and bear it when I am woken up with slaps to the face at 5.15am with boroko donthy and “tell me a story about Princess Elana”. Malebo Medupe (30) Pretoria, Gauteng

My eldest is 3 years and 7 months old, and my youngest is 2 years and 10 months. I enjoyed the newborn phase with both. Theshnee Perumal (26), Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

I have two boys, a 4-year-old and a 6-monthold. I enjoy them most when they start talking, because I get to ask them all sorts of questions and hear what they have to say. Yolandi Marshall (31), Polokwane, Limpopo
