MORE TIPS FOR BONDING

-

■ Tell your baby what you are going to eat, and ask him what he would like to eat. This forms a fun bond.

■ When you feel his first movements, let him know that you love to feel them. Talk to him whenever he moves.

■ Rub your tummy softly before bedtime, and wish your baby good night. Your partner can do this too. Play soft, peaceful music. This way your baby can already learn to wind down before bedtime.

■ Play special music just for your baby during the day. Choose something upbeat or slow, depending on what you want to achieve.

■ Put your feet up and grow silent. Place your hands on your belly and think about how much you love your baby. Instead of stressing in traffic, use this time to chat to your baby while you drive.

■ Encourage your partner to greet your baby when they arrive home in the evening.

■ Spend time at peace every day, and ”inhale” your baby. Take deep breaths, and concentrate on your baby’s presence as you do so.

■ Write love letters to your baby.
