Pumpkin puree
PREP + COOK TIME 20 MINUTES (+ COOLING) MAKES 1 CUP (12 TABLESPOONS)
Peel, seed and coarsely chop 400g pumpkin. Steam pumpkin for 12 minutes or until tender; drain. Cool slightly; push pumpkin through a sieve. Stir in a little breast milk or cooled boiled water, if needed, until smooth. Give your child as much puree as desired.
TIPS Store, covered, in the fridge for up to 1 day. Puree is suitable to freeze, in 1-tablespoon portions in ice-cube trays, covered, for up to 1 month.
