WHAT IS A SERVING?

There is no one right answer to this question. For a toddler aged 12 to 36 months, the following are appropriat­e servings:

■ DAIRY PRODUCTS ½ to ¾ cup milk; 30g cheese; ½ to ¾ cup yoghurt or cottage cheese

■ PROTEIN 30g or 1 to 2 tablespoon­s; 1 egg, 1 tablespoon peanut butter; ¼ cup beans

■ FRUIT AND VEGETABLES ¼ cup to ½ cup fruit juice or 2 to 3 tablespoon­s ■ BREAD AND CEREALS ¼ cup cereal or rice; ½ slice bread
