EARLY MATERNITY LEAVE, BUT GRATEFUL
I’m writing this letter regarding my 2020 love letter from God. I’m Likhwezi Mbatha, 26 years old, from Soweto, Johannesburg. I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant, and I couldn’t be happier to be carrying such a gift after trying to conceive for a couple of years with my husband. It has been quite stressful being pregnant during a pandemic, and with the field of work I’m in, I deal directly with customers every single day, but God kept me and my baby safe thus far. I’m currently on maternity leave. The anxiety drove me to taking early maternity leave, as I just wanted to be safe. I’m just grateful to God for keeping me and my bundle of joy safe and healthy.
