Yummy!
To stop my frozen breast milk from defrosting when the power goes out, I put my milk bags into a plastic container with a few icebricks so
I have a “cooler box” within my freezer. I also put a packet of loose ice cubes on top. If they have melted, it means everything has defrosted, including the milk, and must be thrown away. YOLANDI COETZEE
For night feeds, first change your baby’s nappy (if necessary) and then feed her so that she is sleepy from the feed when you put her down. During the day, feed her first and then change her nappy while she is content. NINA SNYMAN
When your baby is learning to feed herself, let her play outside with a plastic cup of yoghurt and a spoon. She can mess as much as she wants! It’s a healthy snack, and she will learn to become comfortable with the spoon. JULIA WILLS
My 7-monthold loves it when I peel a cold pear and give it to her to chew on. It helps with teething and is a healthy snack. It also promotes a healthy relationship with solid foods, as she can play and explore. Messy play is essential for healthy development. ASHLEIGH WOLFAARDT
Every morning I freeze leftover smoothie in lollies for my son. He loves it, and I’m happy that he eats extra fruit and veg in this way. His favourite is the carrot/banana combo mixed with yoghurt, orange juice and ice!
