We asked you, our lovely readers, on Facebook: What is the first thing you did when you found out you were pregnant? This is what you said:

IBTIESHAAM VAN DER POEL, 33, from Delft, Cape Town, says that the first thing she did was take another two pregnancy tests!

MBALI NKABINDE, 33, from Witbank, Mpumalanga: “I got on my knees and cried, thanking God. I was so happy because I had been struggling to fall pregnant for seven years. I still thank God for blessing me.”

LEBO NO-YANGABUSI KATAMETSI, 33, from Arcadia, Pretoria: “I literally jumped for joy. I phoned hubby to rush home, and I took a video of his reaction when he saw the test.”

CHARNÉ WARD, 44, from Pretoria: “I immediately went to Woolies and bought a yellow babygrow and then I cried all the way home. Two weeks later I found out it was twins, and off to Woolies I went again!”

NTHATI MAKOAE, 26, from Maseru, Lesotho, found out on 1 January. She called her husband, and he was so happy and kept saying “Happy new year!”

She says, ”I was so happy and confused at the same time.”
