When the pain you’re experienci­ng is not a medical emergency, you can learn to manage or even alleviate it naturally. Here are some tips:

Take a relaxing warm (not hot) bath or invigorati­ng shower. Also massage with warm oils or a hot stone.

MASSAGE

Lubricants and tactile contact makes for the magic of a massage.

DISTRACTIO­N

Reading, listening to music, talking to a friend, enjoying a craft, baking or even washing the dishes helps you to think about something other than the pain.
