LET’S GET COUNTING

You can teach your toddler various mathematical concepts in a number of ways. The following activities give you some ideas of mathematic fun on a daily basis. Use them as the opportunity arises, remembering wherever possible to talk about what you’re doing, as the physical experience and the verbal reinforcement help to consolidate many basic concepts. As you go on, provide opportunities to touch things, move them around, compare them, climb over, through, under and on top of them. Encourage him to experiment!
