We all do what we can to prevent kidnapping or our child going missing, but you should also have an action plan ready in the event that it happens. First step: Download the Kidz1st Protector application on your phone. It is approved and backed by Missing Children South Africa. How it works: You add a profile for your child, which includes a picture and a description. If your child goes missing, you issue an immediate amber alert by pressing ”find child”. (By the way, you do not have to wait for 24 hours to report a missing child to the authorities – that’s a myth.)
