TIPS FOR DAD-TO-BE
There’s not much you can do to take away the miseries of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. This ailment can leave your partner feeling tired, listless and miserable, and your understanding and compassion will go a long way in helping her cope.
HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Offer to do the cooking if smells and odours trigger her nausea. Make sure that she’s keeping up with her fluids and following a balanced diet.
• Get her to rest and breathe. Remind her that her body is performing a miracle and that this particular niggle of pregnancy is actually a positive one, in that it usually means the pregnancy is healthy.
