NEGATIVE PARENTS

• Use hostile, critical communication. • Can only see the worst in their child and complain often.

• Hold grudges against the child. • Show resentment, as if their child is disturbing their enjoyment of life. • Focus heavily on all the bad behaviour and use excessive punishment. • Believe that their child has the problem – not them.

• See trouble ahead.
