WIMPY KEEPS IT LOCAL
Only 13 percent of books sold in South Africa are in local African languages. Local publisher and online bookstore Ethnikids have partnered with Wimpy to launch a folktale collection of five specially commissioned children’s books available in all 11 official languages as well as in Khoekhoe/Nama.
The online versions of the books can be downloaded free of charge together with the MP4 recordings of the stories at wimpy.co.za/kids/mzanzi-stories/ in all 11 official languages and the English versions are available at Wimpy restaurants nationwide with a Kids Combo Meal.
