EShowe drop out of T20 race

IN their T20 cricket encounter against Richards Bay, eShowe were 30 runs short to qualify for the finals in their match held at the eShowe Sports Club on Saturday.

Batting first, Richards Bay managed a total of 136 runs with seven wickets down in their 20 overs.

Pick of the batsmen was Charl Groenewald who was undefeated on 52 runs.

For eShowe, Brian Carpenter took four wickets (three of them bowled) for 25 runs off three overs.

eShowe’s batsmen battled with only Shaun Mostert making any inroads into the Richards Bay bowling attack with 35 runs not out.

eShowe were seven wickets down with the score on 107 runs at the end of their allotted 20 overs.

None of the Richards Bay bowlers stood out.
