Biological father raped his daughter (13) while alone in their home

A SEX pest father (53) who took his daughter’s (13) innocence and repeatedly raped her in their home, will be locked inside a prison cell for the remainder of his days.

The 53-year-old man from eMatshana Reserve outside Empangeni was sentenced to two life terms after he was found guilty of rape at Empangeni Regional Court on Thursday.

He was convicted after the magistrate heard a detailed testimony from the young victim.

She revealed that her rapist father sexually assaulted her in February 2013.

According to the victim, the rape happened while her stepmother was away.

The father called her into his bedroom where he sexually assaulted her.

When her stepmother returned, the victim found the courage to report the matter to her.

Local police were called to the homestead and a case of rape was opened at Empangeni Police Station and the father was arrested and charged.

The docket was transferred to Empangeni Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.

The KZN Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bheki

Langa welcomed the heavy sentence.

‘The man was expected to look after his child and protect her against being abused by criminals, but instead he raped her. This will serve as a stern warning to would-be criminals who intentionally abuse young children,’ he said.
