Catch the ‘Charou’ this weekend

- Conelia Harry

KING of comedy Karou Charou (KC) will be taking Empangeni by storm on Saturday night when he stages his latest show,

at Umfolozi Casino Resort.

This is Karou’s new oneman show and features his 12-year-old son, KC Junior who is currently the country’s youngest performing comic.

Infusing music, song, dance, magic, mentalism and a splash of comedy, the show is like a Bollywood movie, except not quite as long and without subtitles.

Just having returned from his visit to Australia, Karou is ready to mingle with his loyal and local fans in Zululand.

encompasses everything that’s great about Karou Charou.

Using his refreshingly different and vibrant style he woos the audience with his comic genius and his unique ability to leave the comfort of the stage and interact with the audience in unscripted, yet hilarious banter, is what keeps the audience riveted and thoroughly entertained for all of 90 minutes.

Although known for his trademark ‘F’ bombs, this show is family orientated so there will be none of those.

How well do you know your partner/spouse? Well KC’s ‘Check UR Mate’ segment is going to reveal exactly how much or how little you know.

Mentalism and mind reading is a skill KC has been working on for a few months and in this show he will reveal his incredible spoon bending ability as well as his ability to read cards behind his back.

His on stage mental telepathy stunt involving two audience members, a pack of cards and an egg beater is a real hit with the crowd.

The show finale, which once again involves a few members of the audience is going to have you rolling in the aisles.

Tickets are R140 and available at Satrins Supermarket in Brackenham or at Umfolozi Casino Resort front desk.

Tickets will be sold at the door for R160, children under 10 enter for free.
