Full card for box­ing tour­na­ment

NO fewer than 25 bouts are on the open box­ing tour­na­ment card, which will be hosted by the King Cetshwayo Box­ing Or­gan­i­sa­tion at the TapTap Makhathini Store in uMlalazi on Satur­day.

Fight­ers from all mu­nic­i­pal­i­ties within the district, as well as one club from Jozini, have been in­vited to com­pete.

The male box­ers will do bat­tle in three three­minute rounds, with the fe­male fight­ers four rounds of two min­utes each.

Ac­tion is sched­uled to get un­der­way from 11am and will see box­ing leg­end Eli­jah ‘Tap Tap’ Makhathini in at­ten­dance.

‘This is the first tour­na­ment of many sched­uled for this year, so both box­ers and train­ers are ea­ger to get some fight time in the ring,’ said King Cetshwayo Box­ing Gen­eral Sec­re­tary, Bheki ‘Skele­ton’ Mn­gomezulu.
