Uniden­ti­fied de­ceased man’s next of kin sought

AF­TER find­ing a badly de­com­posed body hanging from a tree in a gum plan­ta­tion, Mtu­batuba po­lice are ap­peal­ing to any­one who may be miss­ing a loved one, to con­tact them.

The body was found on 2 Fe­bru­ary by a young herds­man herd­ing cat­tle along the rail­way line through the gum plan­ta­tion in KwaManandi area.

The man is es­ti­mated to be about 35 years old and he was wear­ing a jacket with the word ‘Iden­tity’ writ­ten on it.

His jacket was cuffed with a white col­lar, he was also wear­ing khaki jeans and white takkies.

In his pocket there was a red tooth­brush.

The re­mains were taken to Mtu­batuba gov­ern­ment mor­tu­ary and an in­quest docket has been opened.
