Bay artist nom­i­nated for gospel awards

STILL rid­ing on the suc­cess of her re­cent al­bum re­lease, Richards Bay gospel artist Ber­nice Goven­der, aka ‘Bern G’ is now in the run­ning for the ‘Best New­comer’ in the In­goma Gospel Awards.

As one of 45 en­trants in this cat­e­gory and this be­ing her first award en­try, Bern G said it is such a big boost for her mu­sic ca­reer, es­pe­cially as she is a new artist try­ing to pro­mote her mu­sic.

‘The re­lease of my lat­est al­bum, has been noth­ing but blessed and God has been be­hind it one hun­dred per­cent.

‘This came as such a shock to my pro­ducer Lindisa Records and I, be­ing the only In­dian artist nom­i­nated and my first award en­try.

‘I am so ex­cited and be­lieve this will open more doors in the fu­ture and my mu­sic ca­reer,’ she said.
