Zululand Observer - Monday - - ZO NEWS - Orrin Singh

MTUBATUBA police are investigating a case of house robbery following a farm attack in Monzi on Thursday night.

At the time of the robbery, only the farm owner’s wife and daughter were at home.

Reports indicate that three suspects gained entrance into the yard by digging an opening underneath the fence.

The suspects are believed to have tied up the garden worker and forced him into the house, where they proceeded to assault the farm owner’s wife, her nineyear-old daughter and the domestic workers.

The perpetrators demanded the keys to the safe, from which they took firearms and ammunition before fleeing from the scene.

A source indicated that two hunting rifles, a shotgun and a 10mm Glock were taken during the robbery.
